We'd like to welcome Chewbacca, our newest member of the family! Chewy joined us a week ago and is quite the cute addition to our group of Kitty Castaways. We had no intention of getting a new cat - we didn't the other 3 times we previously adopted cats either! He just came along at the right time.
My brother-in- law, RR, forwarded an email with a cute pic of this little guy who needed a home. JC said NO! Unless he got to name him! ;-) And so, Chewbacca is the newest man in the house. Our hope is that he plays with Thaddeus so that Thaddeus will stop standing behind our bedroom door and waiting patiently until Sasha enters the room to jump on her! You'd think she'd learn!
At the moment, Chewy and Thaddeus are downstairs watching birds out the window. It's hard being a cat!
A week ago we got a wicked snowstorm! The teacher in me was thrilled - snow days! It turned out to be 5 snow days since the snow turned to ice and then just stayed and stayed! Because I don't live in a snowy climate I get so excited about any white beauty that falls from the sky. I am very certain that I would get sick of it very quickly if we had it all winter! It was nice getting the extra days off, although now I have reached the point of worrying about all the things that have to be made up and rescheduled at school!
